Money Making Ideas

Just because you're a stay-at-home mom doesn't mean that you can't contribute to your family financially. You can help out by looking for creative ways to save and even earn money.

On this page, I will share with you some creative ways to earn money without neglecting your most important priority: being a wife and mom.

Of course, anyone can benefit from these ideas, not just stay-at-home moms!

Taking Surveys

Taking online surveys will not make you rich nor give you enough money to pay your light bill. BUT, you can earn a little extra money or gift cards if you put your mind to it!

If you have a lot of time on your hands, I would recommend this method.
You will need to take a lot of surveys and stick to it to make this worth your time.

Be warned: There are a lot of survey sites that are not worth messing with!

I will share some legitimate companies with you that you can trust!

You will probably need a PayPal account if you want to try these companies.
This is how most of them pay you.

If you don't have one, it's not a hard thing to get and it is really great to have!
 I love PayPal!

Okay, so here is a list of 3 survey companies that I know are legitimate:

I would recommend starting with one and seeing how you like it...
or go all out and sign up for all three!

Selling Your Stuff

I'm pretty sure most of you probably have some stuff laying
around that you don't use or don't really need.

Why not turn that stuff into some extra cash?

Here are some different ways to sell your stuff.
Some obvious and maybe some you haven't tried or thought about yet.

1) Have a garage sale or yard sale
This is a great way to clear out a lot of junk! If you have a lot of stuff
that you want to sell for a cheap price, this is probably the best way to do it.

2) Sell your stuff on Craigslist
This is a good way to sell big items. You don't have to ship anything.
Or, if you don't want to have a yard sale, you could use Craigslist instead.
Just remember to be safe when using Craigslist or other places that you meet people in person!

3) Sell your stuff on eBay
If you have any baby or kids clothes that are name brand and in good condition, you can make a lot of extra money doing this! If you've never used eBay, you can learn a lot about it at the site.
They have a ton of tools that can help you.
My husband also recently made some extra cash by selling some old tools he didn't use!

4) Sell your books
If you buy books, you can sell the ones that you are done reading or don't want any more here. I've never used the site before, but this one seems like the most popular one to use.

5) Sell stuff you make
If you are any good at making crafts or other stuff, you could possibly sell it on Etsy.

 6) Trade in your stuff to Amazon
Did you know that you can get Amazon gift cards for trading in your old electronics, DVDs, textbooks, and video games? You look up how much your item is worth, ship it to Amazon (for free) and then they send you a gift card! Pretty easy way to clear clutter and earn extra money!

Avoid Scams!

If you are looing into making money from home, please be careful and avoid scams! There are a ton of them out there! My number one tip is to NEVER pay for anything that claims you can make money using their product. You can find an entire article here with lots of tips on avoiding scams when making money from home.
